I was born in Acuña, a small town in Coahuila, Mexico. It is a very humble town; I lived here for the first seven years of my life. My parents decided to move to San Antonio, which they envisioned as a better place to raise their kids.
I completed a degree of Applied Science in Graphic Arts Print at San Antonio College in fall of 08 and am currently working on my Fine Arts Degree. One of my goals in education is to achieve a Master in Fine Arts. I am also a mural artist and have done both volunteer works in the Jefferson area, as well as commissioned murals throughout San Antonio since 2004.
From my freshman year in high school, art has become like breathing; it is something I have to do constantly whether it’s doodling on a napkin or painting on canvas. My recent drawings deal with various subject matters from my spiritual background and Christian beliefs to Pop Culture. My recent abstract paintings consist of controlled curvilinear shapes of solid colors, a wide range of tones, fine linear detail. I feel that these paintings have to do with emotions we go thru; anger, joy, depressed, cheerful, timid, loud, etc., very similar to music.
